In this wide framed panel, a round lacy sun sits at the top edge and its long, sharp rays fan downward across the whole surface, separated by curved petal shapes. Grid patches fill the lower corners. The 7 layers place the rays and petals at different depths, which gives the composition a strong sense of perspective.
It suits a large living room wall above a sofa, a lobby or a hallway with good side light. When gluing the long rays, work from the center outward and press each layer with a flat board so the strips do not lift at the ends.
