Eight points spread from the middle of this design like a compass rose: four long arms, four shorter diagonals, and a crisp four-pointed star in the center. Spiral scrolls curl around every arm, softening the geometry with an ornamental, almost wrought-iron feel. Built from 5 stacked layers, the points and curls separate into raised ridges that catch light from the side.

Its open silhouette looks great floating on a plain wall in a hallway, a study or a guest room, and it makes a thoughtful housewarming present. Hang it with a sawtooth hanger glued to the back, centered carefully, since star shapes reveal any tilt immediately.
