Stretched to the left and right like a lens, this mandala centers on a round lace flower made of looping, rounded petals. Leaf-shaped extensions taper to points at either side, giving the outline a graceful horizontal flow that differs from the usual round format. Six layers are glued into the final piece, building the petals into a soft, cushioned relief.
Its wide shape fits above a door frame, over a narrow mantel or on the wall behind a bed. For a natural look, cut it in plywood and finish with a clear matte varnish, which protects the thin loops without adding shine.
