Eight broad petals, each divided into small window panes like a leaded lattice, open from a tiny round center in this star-shaped mandala. Leaf points extend between the petals, stretching the outline into a long eight-point star. The design uses 6 layers, and the lattice windows let the lower levels peek through in a checkerboard of light and shadow.
It is a nice fit for a sunroom or a garden-themed living space. Small lattice cells are where scorch marks show most, so use air assist and cover the top surface with masking tape, then peel the tape after cutting for clean, bright edges.
