Four overlapping circles form a quatrefoil outline, and their arcs weave through one another like a Celtic knot around a small four-pointed star. Wave patterns and arched bands fill the lobes, giving the piece a rhythmic, flowing texture. Stacked from 5 layers, the interlaced arcs give the impression of passing over and under each other.
It would look lovely in a study, on a library wall, or as a gift for anyone with Irish or Celtic roots. Sand the arc edges lightly after cutting; softening the charred edge a little brightens the weave and makes the over-under illusion easier to read.
