YWFT Tonnage is a bold, chunky ink-trap display sans-serif designed exclusively by YouWorkForThem. Available across six versatile weights, Tonnage combines the commanding presence of a heavy headline typeface with the distinct grit of 1990s lo-fi alternative press typography and event graphics. It offers high visibility at scale while maintaining an organic, distinctive edge that avoids the flat, generic look of traditional impact fonts.
Design & Anatomical Details
Ink Traps & Notches: Carved deep at key stroke junctions, the ink traps add sharp visual texture and personality at headline display sizes while preserving legibility when scaled down.
Dense, Pneumatic Counters: Rounded and fully filled counters give each glyph a heavy, solid, and tactile feel.
