Serene and still, Mary is shown veiled, with her hands joined in prayer. The source is Giovanni Battista Salvi da Sassoferrato’s The Virgin in Prayer, painted around 1640-1650 and in the public domain; Decorartes followed the veil and the hands in connected black flow lines.

The cut layer is one piece: lines meet the frame all the way around, so nothing drops out. A separate backing board file matches its outer size.

Dimensions: 11.8 by 17.9 inches, or 300 by 454 mm. Scale up as you please, but don’t go below this size, since every line is at least 1.3 mm. Suggested material is acrylic, MDF or plywood in 3 mm, with the line layer painted black and a pale blue, ivory or birch backing. It sits well in a bedroom or a prayer space and makes a fitting Mother’s Day or christening gift.

Digital download. Files included: SVG, DXF, DWG, AI, and PDF versions of the flow-line layer; SVG, DXF, and DWG versions of the backing board; one cut-lines SVG combining both layers; PNG (transparent) and JPG previews; plus a README.
