Made for a wide wall, this 450 x 299 mm panel (17.7 by 11.8 inches) reworks Katsushika Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa, made around 1831: a towering wave curls over the sea, and Mount Fuji sits in the background. Hokusai’s artwork is in the public domain.
From the crest of the wave to the outline of the mountain, every line is tied into the frame, so the black layer comes out in one piece. Behind it goes a backing board file of the same outer size.
As supplied, it fits a 500 x 300 mm machine bed. Enlarge it whenever you want, but stay at or above this size; the lines bottom out at 1.3 mm. Cut it in 3 mm plywood, MDF or acrylic and set black waves over a sea-blue or natural wood board. Good spots: a beach house, an office or a living room.
Digital download. Files included: the flow-line layer as SVG, DXF, DWG, AI, and PDF; the backing board as SVG, DXF, and DWG; a cut-lines SVG that shows both layers together; transparent PNG and JPG previews; and a README.
