Few images say prayer as simply as two joined hands. This panel turns Albrecht Dürer’s Praying Hands of 1508, his famous study of an apostle’s hands, into a flow-line design for the laser; Dürer’s original belongs to the public domain.
Cut from one sheet, the black layer stays in a single piece. Every stroke meets the surrounding frame, so there are no islands to glue back in, and the download also has a plain backing board of identical outer size.
Final dimensions are 300 by 455 mm, or 11.8 by 17.9 inches. Larger is fine; smaller is not advised, since the lines (1.3 mm minimum) would become too fine. Try 3 mm MDF, plywood or acrylic, with the top layer painted black and a natural wood or soft-colored back. Hang it above a bedside table or by the front door, or give it for a First Communion.
