Pantone’s New Color of the Year 2023 – Viva Magenta
On December 1, the Pantone color institute defined the color of 2023 – Viva Magenta. This shade, in their opinion, reflects strength, fearlessness, audacity, wit, optimism, and self-expression.
This color conveys the mood of the world. It reflects society’s current stage of development and the destruction of traditional standards. This color collected the mood of the people and the desire for change.
PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta comes from the red family but is softer and non-aggressive.
At the same time, the color is deep and refers us to the primary source of life – nature. Why? This shade is inspired by the color of cochineal, an insect from which the substance is extracted to obtain a natural dye – carmine.
The color of 2023 is powerful and inspiring. So, we tune in to new victories and cool designs.
Also, the color is ideal for design for women’s niches (cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, accessories), metaverse design, NFT collections, handmade spheres, and for a personal brand of strong women.
PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta will be interesting to combine with beige shades, muted blues, and light shades of pink and red.
Designers, how do you like this color? Want to apply for your projects already?
