Valve is an industrial typeface with superelliptical letterforms and pragmatic stroke logic. Emotionless, android-like forms evoke plastics, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and alternative energy. Many ultramodern typefaces conjure tongue-in-cheek references to a retro futurism, but Valve is purely synthetic—built solely from artificial elements with no specific structural source. OpenType fractions, numeric ordinals and lots of currency symbols are included. Valve is available in five weights: Extra-Light, Light, Regular, Bold and Heavy as well as a set of sleek obliques. Most Latin-based European writing systems are supported, including the following languages.
