Algol is a low-resolution display typeface based on classic computer pixel fonts. This typeface softens and boldens the effect by overlapping intersections with delicately rounded corners rather than employing precise pixel boundaries. It also works well with vinyl-cut signage systems and in other cases where sharp pixel junctions are undesirable. Algol Regular, Algol VII, and Algol IX are members of the Algol family. For a dramatic look, layer Algol Regular and Algol VII in inventive color combinations. Algol IX has more relaxed spacing and is clear, allowing the spectator to look directly through it. A universe of design options is opened up by using hidden alternate letters with closed counters. Most Latin-based European, Greek, and some Cyrillic-based writing systems are supported, including the following languages.
