This A4 (210 x 297mm page ratio) magazine mockup for Canva is ideal for showcasing cover and page designs for your A4 books, magazines and documents. It works like Photoshop. Effortless drag and drop of your designs into the custom-created clip frames will give you a realistic and professional end-product.
I’ve chosen A4 as the size for my magazine mockup, and not US Letter size because, according to Google, A4 is the most common size for magazines. Note that you can also use this mockup for your US Letter-sized page and cover designs. Just make a copy of the pages you want to display and resize them to A4 in Canva before clipping them into the mockup frames.

What can you use this product for?
Promote or launch your magazine, book, or document by displaying the covers, spine and pages using this realistic mockup template for Canva. Create shop or display images of your covers and pages in seconds. Great for authors and book designers to showcase book cover and page designs and spreads in your website, social feed, or portfolio. Show your clients how their cover or page designs will look before print.
How to use this A4 magazine mockup for Canva
Once you download the User PDF, navigate to the last page where you’ll find the license details and also the link to access your A4 Magazine mockup. The link will take you to a Canva template containing all 8 mockups (plus a bonus 9th mockup).
To use them, all you need to do is drag and drop your JPG or PNG (not transparent is best) page or cover design straight into the custom-created clip frames. Your design will look like it’s been printed on the book cover or pages. Just like it would in a Photoshop mockup. The shadows and lines of each object will remain visible. You can edit them to be darker or lighter, depending on how dark or light your design is. See the PDF user guide with more detailed info. The Canva file also contains detailed user instructions for each mockup in the page notes.
Make sure that your designs have ample margin (approx 20mm on each edge) for a neat and professional end result.
Once you’ve opened the template you can customize all surface colors with one click. Drag and drop or clip your design onto the mockup surface of your choice, add your own background color or texture, add objects from any of my Scene Creator bundles to further customize and add interest to your designs. Shadows can be edited by clicking on the shadow section of the object and adjusting the tint, blur or opacity.
