Gone Fishing font is a single, monoline font designed for the words to flow as one continuous fishing line font.
There are a number of various rods, hooks, bait and catches. These can be used to create endless variations.
Use the hyphen, en-dash and em-dash to create a flowing line between words. Other punctuation keys create the fishing rods, fishing line ends and catches. Open brackets – either (, [ or { will give a fishing rod option and closing these brackets will end the fishing line at the other end of the writing. Other punctuation keys are used for various elements. See if you can find the hidden shark!
This is a great font for any angler or fishing related design. A perfect fathers day font, birthday font or any other special occasion where the recipient loves fishing! A great font for crafts and crafting. Cute and quirky! Let us know if you have any suggestions for characters to add!
Comes in 3 weights – light (10 lb) regular (20 lb) and bold (30 lb).
Please note: there are very few punctuation and special characters. These are replaced with the various icons and cartoon elements. To bridge separate lines you will need to add a connecting line or flow off page edges. European glyphs are currently not supported (they may be added at a later date – please contact us if these are required!)
KEY
Open Brackets ‘(‘, ‘[‘, ‘{‘ and Slash ‘/’ – Rods
End brackets ‘)’, ‘]’, ‘}’ – Catches
Backslash ” and Quote ” – More catches
Comma ‘,’ and Asterisk ‘*’ – ‘Float’ and ‘line in water’
Question mark ‘?’, Bullet Point ‘•’ – Fish
Dollar ‘$’ and Percent ‘%’ – Lure
Sterling ‘£’ – Double hook
Period Centred ‘·’ (also known as Interpunct) – Shark
CONNECTING MULTIPLE LINES
The easiest way to achieve this is simply to draw a connecting line between text on stacked lines in your chosen software. Then adjust the weight of the line to match the font weight and size.
We have also added Greater ” to add a drop down line (to be used at the top text line end).
And Less ” to add a reach up line (to be used at the line beginning of the next line of text below).
Bar ‘|’ gives a length of line to connect the two together (to be placed on it’s own text line – BUT this will need to be stretched to fit).
